Carcassonne breaks

Craig and his partner now have a maison secondaire in a small French village close to Carcassonne and two amazing world heritage sites - the Cite de Carcassonne (eleventh century medieval castle) and the fascinating Canal du Midi.
For centuries the landscape around Carcassonne has been associated with the toil of the earth - the centre of a large wine production region. There is quite a history to this Cathar area. More recent spotlights on the area arise from Kate Mosse’s recent books Labrynth, Sepulchre, Winter Ghosts, and Rick Stein’s French Odyssey passing along the Canal du Midi.
Craig’s Floral Design Breaks feature small groups and usually last for three days:
• one day guided around Carcassonne and its sites, soaking up the atmosphere of a sun-kissed part of France an hour from the Mediterranean
• two days featuring the floral workshops, using a mix of materials native to the area and commercial blooms.
Craig loves food and has great interest in the flavours of the region which he produces for you through lunches and dinner. The breaks have often been extended by participants, as the Cathar country has many jewels to explore.
The practicality of Craig’s Floral Design Breaks is made easy by low-cost airlines direct to the region. For more information, contact Craig.
